Getting to Tanzania

Finding the appropriate international flight to Tanzania can be quite confusing as the prices and flights available for each airport vary. There are three airports that travelers use when visiting Tanzania: Kilimanjaro, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. For northern circuit visits only, we recommend flying directly to Kilimanjaro as it is much closer to Arusha than the other two airports. If you are planning a combination northern circuit/Zanzibar trip, Dar es Salaam may be a cheaper option. We recommend against flying to Nairobi unless you are visiting both Kenya and Tanzania.
