Serengeti Highway Update

On July 31, the Tanzanian president stated that construction of the Serengeti highway will move forward, but that the section that crosses Serengeti National Park will not be paved. Even if the road is not paved, hundreds of large trucks will cross the Serengeti each day, having a devastating effect on the entire Serengeti ecosystem.
